During the 2011 NHL season, Scotiabank Place decided to move ahead with renovations to their existing score clock which overhangs center ice. Included in these renovations was a retrofit of the video boards to new Bell HD video screens, as well as all new signage to be mounted intricately on a new frame. Signs.ca fabricated all new signage for the structure including the standout formed Scotiabank face mounted on the bottom of the structure, as well as removal of the existing and installation of the new structure over a two day period. Without fail the project deadline was met just in time for the 2011 Ottawa All-Star game.

When Michigan State University began planning to re-do their existing football stadium scoreboards along with an audio/visual overhaul, they sought out a signage provider to take on the massive project with tight deadlines. Signs.ca won the contract to provide all signage including two sets of 7’ channel letters with 3” acrylic returns, four 30’ high illuminated Spartan heads, and two 32’ x 32’ flex face sign boxes. Working closely with the projects engineers, Signs.ca met a tight off-season deadline, delivering unsurpassed quality of workmanship and an iconic face lift to a venue rich with history.

As a part of the Grey Cup Heritage program, Mosaic Stadium in Saskatchewan (home of the Roughriders) took on a massive renovation project to improve fan experience. The existing Sasktel Maxtron was replaced with a 1,692 square foot digital display board, along with all new channel letters and advertising space on the score board provided by Signs.ca. The project also called for a 19’ x 55’ façade with Roughriders logo, completed with several layers of formed plastic for an extremely unique look.

Located at Pinecrest mall next to the 417 is the largest IKEA store in Canada with 427,000 total square feet. Signs.ca worked alongside Aecon Construction, and IKEA staff to provide signage that fit the massive building. The scope of work included a 24’ high set of channel letters, three 10’ illuminated sets of letters, a digital display board and multiple way finding signs. Signs.ca managed, engineered and installed the massive digital board which is the largest in Ottawa, in a partnership with Electromatic Products.
